Aston Villa Sign Egypt’s Winger Trezeguet for a Reported £8.75m from Kasimpasa

The just promoted English Premier League side Aston Villa have announced the signing of  Egypt star winger Trezeguet for a stated sum of £8.75m. The Egyptian young star who played for Egypt in the just concluded Total AFCON 2019 was signed from Turkish club Kasimpasa.

In response the new signing, Villa’s manager Dean Smith said; “We’re truly eager to work with ‘Trez’,”

“I’ve watched him in  various occasions. He’s the sort of wide player that we have been searching for who is immediate, causes issues for the restriction in the last third and scores goals.”

Since gaining promoted to the Premier League in May, following a 2-1 play-off final victory over Derby, Villa have signed defenders; Ezri Konsa, 21, from Brentford for £12m; Bjorn Engels, 24, for £9m from Reims; Tyrone Mings, 26, from Bournemouth for £20m; Kortney Hause from Wolvesfor £3m and left-back Matt Targett from Southampton for £15m.

In addition, they’ve also spent £22m on forward Wesley from Club Brugge, £8m on winger Anwar El Ghazi from Lille, midfielder Jota from Birmingham in a swap bargain, before now adding Trazeguet to the list.

Mahmoud Ahmed Ibrahim Hassan  was born in Kafr El Sheikh, before  given the nickname Trézéguet aged 9 by Badr Ragab, an adolescent mentor at his school team because of his goalscoring record for the team and likeness to French global footballer David Trezeguet.
